Sometimes I’m simply amazed at all the cool Internet Marketing junk that has little to do with actual “Marketing”. I’ll have to admit it makes for some really cool copy, again, I’m skeptical of it’s worth to Internet Marketing.
Internet Marketing in it’s truest sense is about sales. You ability to build a truly terrific product, and properly promote that product should provide you with success. That product may even be yourself. Non-the-less, the rules to this goal are pretty well defined.
As for tools of the trade, I’ll be the first to admit that a good tool at the right time can and will make the difference, however, you don’t need and endless array of tools to get the job done. I’ve even noticed that there are hundreds of tools for use with “Google Analytics”.
All I can say is …… “Figures”. I’ll leave it at that.
Just Google “Internet Market Tools” and you will get 226,000,000 results. I’m always curious about the SEO winner of huge returned results within a Google search. In second place with this search is “Slideshare.net” with a collection of “50 Online Marketing Tools You Should Be Using“, presented by Kevin Gibbons, who is the founder of “Quaturo“.
Actually a pretty good list …… I like “Screaming Frog“! As always when considering any type of tool for use in your Internet Marketing efforts, you have to factor in the learning curve for such tools.
One of the true measures of a tools effectiveness is if that tool is intuitive. So if you could come up to speed in one day for each tool …… you still have a couple of months work ahead of you.
I say if you’re really that interested in tools, get yourself a mechanic in addition to the tools. After looking at a wide variety of tools this morning, I’m afraid that you’re going to need more than a mechanic to get this job done …… maybe a “Ninja” is the better choice here.
