The Diminishing Relevancy Of WordPress

For those that are new to Internet Marketing, WordPress is a quick and easy way to jump in and get started. Never mind my personal story of having to take 7 hours to install via the “Famous 5-Minute Install”. Something about relational URL to Host, before the Domain-Name resolves. Of course all of this has changed over the years to confuse most everyone now! I digress ……

To make things interesting for your mind …… I can now install WordPress in 20 seconds …… I digress further …….

I’m sorry! As I sit down to write this sad post, I can’t help but think back to the good old days, when it was easy to grasp the possibility of earning an income online with little more than a Blog of your interest based on WordPress.

Now, as I look back and think of where it was that I started, and where it is that I am, I couldn’t have envisioned …… nor would I have wanted to.

I love WordPress. I love everything about it. I love Blogging …… have since day one! However, as I continue my journey online, I find myself spending less and less time with WordPress and even less time with clients requesting WordPress services. How sad!

Now most of my work is building a static site for my clients, and then socializing that site and that business. There is no longer an interest or motive to writing about anyone’s business or dealing with reader’s comments when all of that type of relevant power now belongs to Facebook, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn and the never-ending vast array of social sites that now make up the way we communicate online.

The diminishing relevancy of WordPress is a certainty …… at least as it pertains to Internet Marketing. New Framworks such as Bootstrap and Foundation are the emerging trends toward simplifying Website development.

What a shame!
