Beyond Blogging

Beyond Blogging

When I first started out Blogging I can remember this really cool book by the name of “Beyond Blogging”.

Now, I have reached the point of moving past WordPress and I’m really fighting it. I’m building a social network that is sure to challenge my future. That’s about as far away from WordPress as you can get.

There are a number of new Frameworks and CMS’s. HTML5 and CSS3 are on the very horizon. If you are a computer type of person; things are really looking good.

A great deal of what I am seeing of course, owes its roots to WordPress. It seems that everything is going modular!

I can put together a theme and plug-in, however, I need a great deal more work in these areas and I just can’t seem to find the necessary time for all the cool stuff coming done the line.

I’ll always Blog of course, but I’m light-years away from where I started with posting to my 18 different Blogs once a day. At the time, Blogging gave me purpose. Now, its become a peg to fit into that round hole.

I see a great deal of advancement with the other Blogging CMS’s, however, WordPress is crushing the others. But the others are following suit with that modular look and feel.

There are other types of CMS’s of course. You got’ em from Blogging To Task Management, like the cloud software “Asana” which was designed by former Facebook chief technology officer and vice president of engineering, Dustin Moskovitz.

Blogging is so cool, I think that WordPress helps it to be so. However, WordPress is quickly moving beyond Blogging itself with a number of Web Developers, myself included, using WordPress to manage their Web interests that have nothing to do with Blogging.

I can only imagine the future Beyond Blogging …… you can bet WordPress will have a hand in building it.
