A Bloggers Worst Friend, Windows 8

At the end of next week we will see the latest and greatest from Microsoft; Windows 8. As with Windows Vista, Windows 8 is rolling in bad press before the launch. Even Paul Allen is a bit confused with the OS. The seemingly good news is that Bill Gates loves it. Imagine that!

Concerned that the world, (or at least the “Tweens) are going to leave Microsoft behind, they have come up with the perfect solution for the desktop; Windows 8. Looks like they could release a “Tablet CE (Windows Embedded Compact)”, but what do I know?

I can’t possibly go into all of the foolishness here, however, suffice it to say that we are once again looking at a “Worse Than Windows Vista” OS from Microsoft. Some kids don’t ever learn!

Unless you are given to blogging at “Wings & Things” while watching “Sports Center” on ESPN, Windows 8 is going to be an unmitigated disaster for you.

Upon the release of Vista, I began to make the transition to Linux. I’ve never looked back!!!

I have to deal with Windows machines from time to time, and the only way I can describe the experience is painful! I try to imagine myself blogging with Windows and I just can’t do it. I’m so blessed that I work with Linux.

I have to cover a lot of ground with my Blogging, and I do mean a lot of ground. I just rebuilt a Blog that took 72 hours of surgery that went smooth as silk through Linux. With a work load like that, I can’t deal with a trashy Windows OS. Windows Vista as well as Windows 8 fill that bill, hands down.

If you are entertaining thoughts of upgrading to Windows 8 …… let em’ go! If you are a pro Blogger or are pursuing Online opportunities for profit, you owe it to yourself to make the move to Linux …… you’ll be glad you did!
