Explaining What Your Products Do

As far as strange posts go, this will probably rank right up there. It’s about explaining to your customers what it is that your products do. Now the strange part comes in that most products that you offer to your customers will be self-explanatory. However, that’s not the point here.

Most Internet Marketers or Webmasters will have tons of products and programs on there computer that they have purchased or downloaded and have never used for one reason or another. When they finally come back to the product or program during clean-up, they may not remember what all the excitement was all about.

When I clean-up, I want to move everything to its place ASAP. I don’t really want to find a product and program that I can’t remember what the deal is and have to stop and engage the thing. This can take a boat load of time, and if you have many different products and programs, this can add up to a boat load of headache.

Now the reason I mention this at all, is that about half of the products and programs that I have to sort through at the times of my clean-up, do not have any type of identification, beyond a name.

CodeIgniter, just won’t do it for me. I guess that’s the program you use when you wish to burn down all of your awful code when it doesn’t work for you …… or anyone else for that matter. It takes time to figure out that it’s really a “Web Application Framework” …… whatever that is!

Even though this is truly a trivial issue, go ahead and add identification to your products and programs. It’s a touch of class that your customers will appreciate.
