Letting Go Of The Panda

Letting Go Of The Panda

When starting out with my first Blog, I followed all of the best practices when it came to the current SEO standards of the day.

Slowly over time, the realization set-in that I was not one of Father Google’s favorites. After all, Father Google only has 10 favorite children for any given keyword!

Now …… well, now, I write for myself. Just take a look at this post title: “Letting Go Of The Panda”. If I were pitching for rank, it should be titled: “12 Ways to Optimize Your Blog Titles For Better Rankings”

That is the smart money, that way I’m only competing with 3,520,000 results instead of 767,000 results that no one would ever search for if they were researching Blog titles.

This post is not about how to rank better for this or that keyword. Rather, I’m trying to focus on the fact that no matter what angle you take with your Blog Titles, Content, or Keywords, you will always be on the outside looking in when it comes to mass rankings. You have to build your own following for your organic traffic.

This leads me to a greater subject, yet along the same lines, that when you go to do anything for your Blog, whether it be titles, content, keywords, or tags, do it for yourself as well as your readers.

I managed my Blogs for about a year before I realized that I really needed to be writing for myself and not necessary for my readers, when I then realized, that I needed a store-house somewhere, for all of the information that I needed to run my Internet Marketing Business on an everyday basis.

When I need to align my text against my images as I have done in this post; this is something that I don’t do with every post and I don’t carry the code in my mind, I simply do a search of my site and then, I pull the code from the post that I once wrote on the subject. If I carried all the code and technique that I need in a week around in my head, I’d be a basket case. So this method of re-call works best.

After all who in the world is going to read 3 million articles on how to write “Blog Titles”. And you’re not going to rank with Google for that, who are you kidding?

Man, let it go! Manage your Blog for yourself and not to please the “Panda”.
