I have several Blogs and Websites that focus on earning an income Online. I tend to be a little more philosophical in my writing as opposed to writing about Plug-ins and Themes like everyone else. As I have stated before many a time, I’m really writing for myself. So if you see me go technical with say something over at “Down The Rabbitt Hole”, I’m doing it so that I won’t forget it and I will have a handy reference for myself when the time comes.
When I go tech, I go all out, and I’m not so sure that it makes for good reading. It does give me a unique prospective on things though. Having done this for several years, I can easily teach anyone how to do it! So when a noob comes along, I got em’ covered!
In fact once you have a handle on things Online, you can hunt up work on Elance, ODesk, Freelancer, or Guru.com. There are literally thousands of jobs Online. I like the easy money. The money that comes from helping out those new to the Online environment, or the “Noobs”!
Finding those that need assistance in simple matters is easy. If someone needs a little WordPress help, I can help out and make a few bucks without having to stress over “split-testing PPC” this, and “Google Denied Landing Pages” that. If someone needs a Plug-in fixed, I’m $50.00 bucks ahead.
Only one problem, these type of jobs are a killer! These type’s of ads are placed by people that are new to Internet Marketing and have no idea what the real issue is or how to even hire someone to go about fixing it. They lack the experience to delegate or even how to assess the value of the work or the work experience of those that respond to their ads. And a lot of the time don’t even have the resources set aside to work with anyone. They;re known in the business as …… The Bottom Feeders!
Unfortunately I’m a sucker for these types of ads. I’m looking at a job now that is for the design of 6 sites for Affiliate Offerings from respected channels. I put in the bid for $250.00 or about $40.00 bucks a site. This is a no brainier!!! Hello!
I’ve heard nothing back from the guy! He’s too busy thinking on it, I’ll bet. Or he’s busy trying to scrape together enough cash to pay for the work. Think the design is pricey? Wait till he gets to the Google Adwords stuff. Oh no, I forgot, silly me, you’ve got all that organic traffic to fall back on!
I could make a great living with all those noobs that need help, however, my experience has taught me that most lack the resources and are unprepared for the challenges of outsourced work. Wasting your time and theirs.
Working with those that are established Online is far easier. They can take a look at your portfolio and assign the workload and pay the invoice. Their interest is not to worry the issue, but rather to delegate it and get it off their desk. And they are more then willing to pay well for that service.
