Trending With HTML5 And CSS3

As I wrote last week, it’s not really easy to grasp the handle on HTML5, or CSS3 for that matter. I’m not really sure how this is suppose to help an ever-growing group of novice users, who like most of the faithful, would like to get their hands dirty and play with the code, so as to experience the magic first hand. It looks like the “magic” is to be experienced by those who endure the pain of the learning curve.

However, if all things are given to reason and HTML5, CSS3, along with the browsers can hook-up; a brave new day will dawn!

Whenever I try to venture into the deep end of the pool, I get error messages! Oh joy. But, when you take small snippets of markup and style, and you isolate, you can really see the magic of where these things are going. The overall impression that I receive is that things look much cooler. Everything from music boxes to contact forms are so much the richer; seriously 3D can not be that far away! At the very least it will give a whole new look to Father Google’s Search Box.

Example of HTML5 And CSS3

Just Google “Awesome” or “Amazing Examples Of HTML5 And CSS3″ and you’ll get an eye full of eye-candy!

Of course the issue with all this is that if employed and rendered the new coding looks awesome, and will have you on top of the world. However, if the browsers don’t want to play nice, then you have a website that looks as if it were built by a 3 year old! And you can count of IE whatever version, inflicting all sorts of damage on your design.

If you decide that you just want to code in HTML5 And CSS3 instead of “Transitional 4.01″ just for the sake of coding with the new code; I don’t really see the point.

You should be coding in HTML5 And CSS3 to provide a cutting edge design as well as learning something new for the effort. However, you can count that bottom dollar that you will be coding just to be coding for the near term, ( probably long term ) in HTML5 And CSS3, so as just to get the thing to render across the different platforms, long before you see any real “magic” in your designs.

Goodness Gracious …… so close, yet so far away!
