When you start out down the road of Internet Commerce, no doubt you will have tons to do. If you choose Blogging as part of your interest, you are going to be providing written content to your market.
Most everyone that has an interest in Blogging, worries about the content that they will write. Especially if that interest is a new one.
The best way to approach this challenge is to try and keep things as simple and basic as possible. You won’t have a great deal of readership or following in the beginning and it has been my experience that few will look back further than two years for content, preferring instead to find the most current information on the subject that they are interested in.
When putting out your first posts don’t be careless thinking that no one will have an interest in what you are writing. Don’t confuse few readers with, no one having interest in what you write. As soon as you get careless, someone will take note.
A word of caution should be offered here, don’t scrape content from others ( coping content on someone else’s Blog ). Google will have a field day with this and when someone notices you will be relegated to the spammers black-list, losing all if not most of your creditably. Not a good way to start out.
If you have an interest in a subject that is beyond the scope of your expertise, say you have an interest in providing children’s car safety seats products through your Website and you don’t actually work in the industry, you can find different sources on the Internet that will provide you with content with written permission or for a fee. You might actually find some sources that are open-source such as Wikipedia or some Universities. However, this does not mean that you provide nothing but these sources on your site, otherwise …… what’s the point. I understand that sales are the goal, nevertheless you will need to interact with your market and that means that they will want to hear from you.
Everyone struggles to provide good content in the beginning and quite frankly your time and be better spent with the other challenges that everyone faces when starting out. Don’t stress here. Just take it a step at a time and in six months you will be plenty of ideas to write about. In a year after the dust settles, you can then really concentrate on offering truly great content that sets you above the rest. This no doubt will help the bottom-line!
